Maghera Walled Garden
A restored Victorian Garden on the grounds of medival 4th Century royal dwelling and ancient Monastery.
This secret garden had lay undiscovered for decades as an open field, until a cross-community project led by Council saw the restoration and recreation of the Victorian Walled Garden which previously flourished on the spot.
The garden lies within an impressive stone wall, and contains many varied herbaceous borders, fruit trees, a herb garden, vegetable beds and a wild flower meadow.
Opening Times: Between Easter and 1st November, Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 5pm.
(June, July and August Open every Tuesday and Thursday to 8pm)
