OM Dark Sky Observatory
Davagh has one of the ‘darkest skies’ in Ireland, which means there is so little light pollution that there are crystal clear views of star constellations.
“Scheduled to open in April 2020 and unfortunately delayed due to coronavirus the visitor centre in Davagh Forest will enable easy access to nearby mountain bike trail routes and forest walks by day and exploration of the fantastic dark skies by night. The centre is home to an observatory equipped with a large 14″ aperture telescope perfect for observing the Universe above!”
