Helena’s is named in honour of Helena Concannon, the acclaimed historian, writer and senator who was born at the original inn. Today, it is a space for good conversation, delicious food and gathering with the people who matter.

Helena’s serves breakfast until 12 noon, lunch from 12 pm to 4 pm and dinner from 4 pm until close. Evening dining finishes at 7.30 pm Sunday to Thursday and 8.30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Planning a birthday, family gathering, coach tour, club dinner, retirement celebration or private event? Let us take care of the food.

Our group and function menus offer flexible choices, from simple finger food and buffet-style favourites to one-, two- and three-course dinners. Choose from dishes such as homemade vegetable soup, prawn cocktail, and salted chilli chicken strips; traditional turkey and ham, chicken escalope, roast beef, steak, and vegetarian options; followed by favourites including pavlova, profiteroles, and cheesecake.

Pre-ordering may be required for selected choice menus. Depending on your group size, the number of choices available within each course may be limited to ensure smooth service and the best possible dining experience for everyone.

For more informal occasions, finger-food packages can include sandwiches, cocktail sausages, chicken goujons and sausage rolls, with extras such as pizza slices, wings, wedges and chips available.
